5-2016 – Congratulations to Rishee Jain who accepted an Assistant Professor faculty position at Stanford University! Rishee was an undergraduate researcher in the Lab and did his MS and PhD in the Lab. After his PhD he received an NSF SEES Postdoctoral Fellowship and completed postdoctoral fellowships at NYU and Stanford. We are very excited for Rishee to start this next chapter in his academic career!

Prof. Li is an Associate Professor at Tongji University and the Assistant Dean of the Research Institute of Complex Project Management in Shanghai, China. His research focuses on mega-project management and he is collaborating in the Lab on the application of network analysis to complex, mega-project management studies. Welcome Prof. Li!

4-2013 – Congratulations to everyone involved in the CyberGRID research (past and present)! The CyberGRID was just awarded the 2013 XCaliber Award, a university-level award at Virginia Tech. The award citation describes the CyberGRID as “a learning environment that replicates the skills and competencies engineers need in the 21st century” and further describes that the CyberGRID “provides students with an environment for developing collaborative and innovative strategies to address distributed design problem-solving in a global context.” Many thanks to Dr. Josh Iorio, the CyberGRID guru at Virginia Tech, and the many faculty and students from Virginia Tech, Columbia University, the University of Washington (Seattle), the Helsinki University of Technology, the Indian Institute of Technology (Madras) and the University of Twente (Netherlands) that have been involved in the project since its inception.
